About Me

My name is Marlieke and I love travelling and everything related to that. My second passion is writing and I’ve been combining the two for years now. I studied English Culture and Language at Utrecht University in the Netherlands and after graduation worked as an in-house Dutch translator at Booking.com and a translator and editor-in-chief at the travel platform Hamba, where I was responsible for the entire content of the website in both Dutch and English. In 2011 I founded MTB Translations in order to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time travel writer and translator.

You can contact MTB Translations for both translations and English/Dutch articles. I translate from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English and am specialized in translating travel websites and documents relating to travel, tourism, nutrition and current affairs. For more information and my portfolio please visit www.mtb-translations.nl or send an email to info@mtb-translations.nl.
